Our group of weekly newspapers is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist to work with our team of journalism professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for telling stories relevant to the community, and the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. The position will bring plenty of opportunity to report on a range of news, including councils, school boards, court proceedings, community events, and a range of other interesting events. Applicants will be expected to be able to manage a wide range of writing assignments, basic photography capabilities, an understanding of Adobe Photoshop, and exhibit strong writing skills. Candidates with previous news coverage; a degree or diploma in journalism or a relevant field would be beneficial. A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and smartphone are also required for the position.
