Responsible for effective liaison with involved professionals as well as significant family members. Attend regular staff meetings; maintenance of building, (i.e. cleaning and cooking when required.); maintaining daily report writing, i.e. daily logs, intake reports; cooperative and team working relationship with other staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Child & Youth Care; or related Human Services field with one (1) year related experience.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be willing to work in a team environment; must be able willing to do shift work (day,
night, evening, weekends).
• CPR/First Aid would be an asset.
• Training will be provided to meet Accreditation standards.

Job Opportunity- Bylaw Enforcement Officer

The Town of Fort Macleod is currently seeking a full time Bylaw Enforcement Officer. This position supports our commitment to the citizens of the Town of Fort Macleod by enforcing municipal bylaws. Working in partnership with other external policing and governmental partners, as well as community stakeholders, the Bylaw Enforcement Officer will enhance the community appearance and safety.

Reporting to the Director of Community & Protective Services, the Bylaw Enforcement Officer is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with municipal bylaws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct routine patrols on foot, bicycle and vehicle.
Responding to and investigating bylaw enforcement related complaints
Undertake appropriate action to gain bylaw compliance which may include issuing notices, tickets and tags
Working collaboratively with various enforcement agencies (RCMP, Alberta Fish & Wildlife, SPCA, Humane Society)
Developing ongoing information in relation to bylaw compliance in the community including preparing residential educational material and resources.
Conduct animal control duties including but not limited to: patrols, impounding animals, responding to complaints and conducting investigations.
Maintain records of all investigations and complaints.
Develop and maintain excellent customer service with coworkers, residents and local stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education, in a related field preferred.
2 plus years of diverse bylaw and/or law enforcement experience in a municipal enforcement role, required.
Pervious experience with animal control required.
Clear Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Reliability Screening check.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong understanding and knowledge of the Municipal Government Act and municipal bylaws.
Knowledge of investigative techniques, bylaws, enforcement powers and authority, court proceedings, and rules of evidence

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of Case Work/Assessor/Foster Care Supervisor of Blood Tribe Child Protection Services Corporation the Generalist worker shall be responsible for carrying a Youth Transition to Adulthood (YTA) case load, serving Blood Tribe Youth between the ages of 16 years to 22 years, worker will be required to follow practice and Procedures as outlines in the Child Family Enhancement Policy Manual “Case Work Duties” and duties deemed necessary by BTCP Management and KCSC policy and procedures.
• Responsible for gathering information via collateral contracts such as schools, doctors, police, community, etc to determine the needs and degree of risk of harm to youth;
• Generalist/YTA Worker will be required to complete consultation of all findings to a BTCPS Supervisor’s and or Manager before a file has been deemed to move to S/L (Supported Independent Living Supports and or SFAA (Supported Financial Assistance Agreements).

QUALIFICATIONS: Should possess one of the following: Bachelor of Social Work Degree, Bachelor of Arts Degree in related Human Services field, Social Work Diploma; Equivalency of education and experience maybe considered.
• Knowledge of Child Youth Family Enhancement Act & Policy, First Nations Agreements and Protocols;
