As a Commercial Account Manager I, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and maintaining the portfolio of commercial and agricultural members.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with members as well as pursues new members through referrals, business
development, and contacts in the community.
- Granting loan applications such as lines of credit and overdrafts within approved lending limits.
- Providing individualized financial counseling (such as debt consolidations) and information to members on loans services and
deposit products offered through the credit union; understanding and using knowledge of member’s financial condition to
effectively position the value of products and services.
- Conducting credit investigations, security inspections and searches as required; preparing releases of security on paid out loans;
interpreting loan reports and identifying further action required to address problem areas such as pending delinquency.
- Following up on delinquent accounts as directed by Collections using established collections policies, documents contacts and
outcomes; referring unresolved situations to senior staff for further action.
- Cross-selling all credit union products (including insurance services); soliciting new members and fostering business development
through service excellence and product knowledge.
- Participating in the development and supporting achievement of sales targets and marketing plans.
Qualifications:
- 3 – 4 years experience in customer service or administrator role.
- 1 – 2 years experience in managing accounts is an asset.
- Previous lending experience would be considered an asset.
- Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn other programs.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
- Effective business development skills.
